I enjoy the study and making of flags. Unfortunately this field of interest is basically dominated by a group of people who intentionally manufactured an entire new field of study called "Vexillology". "Vexillology" is essentially the soy term for making terrible flags and insisting they are good, often (even intentionally) removing traditional symbols from flags and reducing them to little more than sports team logos. Few people have attempted to return to traditional flag-making since the twentieth century, which is why I have collected a few resources talking about issues with modern flag design and the vexillological field.
